This rich, inventive musical weaves together the stories of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and a childless Baker and his Wife, following them as they venture into the woods to pursue their deepest wishes and then face the unexpected consequences of getting exactly what they asked for. It is a funny, dark, moving exploration of fairy tales, family, responsibility and what “happily ever after” really means, and it will give our company a thrilling opportunity to create bold characters, complex ensemble work and unforgettable moments of storytelling on one of the most magical stages in the country.
